Christ is the ultimate cheerleader!! I don't know if you guys know much about cheerleading, or the cheerleading I'm talking about, but I'm talking about power cheerleading.. not the dumb things where girls with pom-poms kick their feet and look hot....I'm talking about power cheerleading! the intense gymnastics and stuff.. the stuff where guys throw girls super high in the air and catch them.. the one where we make awesome super high pyramids.. yes.. i know.. it's intense! HAHA (at least if ur actually involved in it) So yeah..if you wanna see an example of the cheerleading i'm talking about, you can simply youtube my team "western mustang cheerleaders" or something.. i'm only on the 2011 team so yeah just saying...
What do i mean by this?...Christ being the ultimate cheerleader... well, a couple days ago i was talking to one of my bros about cheering and he's like that could be a Christ parallel! lol and i'm like.. true! LOl i'll blog about it! so i'm blogging about it! LOL
As a mustang male cheerleader, we sort of have a code engrained into our minds: "girls NEVER touch the ground unless they are supposed to" and we keep it (usually) LOL but yeah! we'll literally sacrifice our bodies to make sure the girl in the air is safe when coming down! This one time, we were doing group to group basket tosses, and they slipped, but the girl was still in the air and only went halfway (we were about 15-20 feet from each other) and guess what? shes fine becasue my partner and I (the catchers) ran for her life and caught her LOL and all was good. sure i might have hurt something.. but honestly, i don't rmb what got hurt cos it was just a minor injury! but yeah, since we aren't perfect, sometines girls do slip through our fingers! (not gonna lie) but then, whenever it's happened, we've already stopped her.. so she's not really falling so yeah.. its more like. we caught her and dropped her LOL but that's still a mistake! unlike human cheerleaders, Christ does not screw up! lol! but He sacrificed His entire being for us! (us being the girl cheerleader) no matter what, He is always there for us and never misses! oh yeah! lol something i need to mention... girl cheerleaders are also involved in the catch!.. girls have to kind of grab the guy too!! but yeah! think about that!

Being "cross"fit!
I really love crossfit! lol the "sport of fitness"! haah I recently started doing it in june/july of last year and i honestly feel a lot fitter and stronger! so, i think it's effective! Recently, i've read my bro's article on living a cross-centred life.. and what it means and i just thought about this idea...of being "cross"fit! Are you strong enough to carry the cross? What does it mean to be fit enough to carry the cross? If you want to read somethign that makes sense, click my bro's article.. LOL if you wanna read my summary of it, keep reading! HAHA
Essentially, as Christians, we want to live with Christ being the centre of our lives. Philippians 1:21..."For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain" He should be put first...above all things. If you look at what Christ did for us, it's actually pretty crazy...from what I think, God imputed Christ's righteousness on us and our sin on Christ.. and if you think about it.. it's amazing.. just thinking about God's grace, mercy, love and justice! if you wanna read more about this imputing thing, read another one of my bro's articles on mercy and justice... pretty interesting! But honestly, if you really understand what Christ did for you, it's amazing and I don't know how you wouldn't want to rejoice all day and live your life around Him!

Luke 9:23 "Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." so yeah! i guess that's all you have to do! 100 burpees again LOL
WOOW so i just did 100 burpees and then.. 1 hour later, my bro is like.. doesn't it need to be side profile? and i was like.> SHOOOOTT so i was like.. okay.. its 7:30.. i have 30 mins to make a new video and post it.. so i did! LOL and here it is...another 100 burpees! thankyou very much! LOL
So yeah, i ended up doing 200 burpees today! 100 in 7 mins and 100 in 7 mins again! lol so yeah! fun times!!! lol

SO i decided to do the crossfit games... LOL the first WOD:
7 min AMRAP of burpees touching a target 6 inches above you...
So yeah! my score was 99... :(:( i thought i did 100.5, but it ended up bein 99.5.. so i rounded down cos i didn't wanna get disqualified!! HAHA so yeah!!! i did 100 burpees in the video.. but only 99 in 7 mins LOL *sigh* w/e! LOLi feel like i should have tried harer or something!! w/e!! it was fun!! :D

OKAY! so i was thinking the other day...about my DG and stuff... and you know what? i think she needs to be fit! LOLyesss... 4D fit.. but more specifically, physically fit as well! LOLi
You see, recently, fitness has become one of my passions, and something I really love a lot! and I just want to have a girl that shares the same or similar passions! LOL nooo.. i don't need some super beast girl that can deadlift 315lbs or something (thats actually kind of weird for me) lOL but some girl who actually enjoys fitness! someone who'd be open to the idea of doing crossfit with me! if she doesnt like it.. okay.. that's fine! she can do her other stuff...w/e she does in the gym to stay fit! or play her sport that she enjoys a lot! LOL just someone I can ask to go to the gym with me and she won't be like..UHH NOOOO or something... haha!
Just a thought!! haha i know it sort of sounds superficial, but I think it's important! It's important for your future spouse to have similar passions as you, or at least be supportive of the passions you have and for you to be supportive of their passions!
One day, I want to make it to regionals for crossfit! or even the games.. but honestly, i'll talk about that after i get into regionals one day...(prob not this year LOL) but i'll probalby end up doing the open!! HAAH pretty excited for that!

back to crossfit!
WOW so i'm getting back into crossfit! LOL today woke up at 6am for it! :( haha but it was fun! LOl sort of!! the workout was essentially my goats.. so i really sucked at it! LOl but it was good to practice them! :)
WOD:
4x4x4x4x4x4 Deadlifts @245lbs
Then
5 rounds of:
15 chest to bar chin-ups
50 double unders
LOL so yeah it was fun! and my arms feel like.. super pumped at the moment LOL so weird! but yeah tiring! cos i'm bad at pullups and double unders! LOL

Modified murph LOL
SOOO! today, i worked out! LOl and I haven't worked out in like.. a week now! LOl so it's prettyy long! and i'm getting fat! LOL
2 days in a row, i ate KBBQ!! ... all you can eat fat and meat essentially! LOL so yeah!! needed to work it off!! LOLOL
So i missed out on xfit this morning cos i slept in LOLl and didn't wanna go by myself! LOL so yeah later taht day my bro and I decided to run.. but i'm like.. i hate running.. lets do murph.. but then we don't have a pullup bar so we decided to just do dumbell rows instead.. (which was WAY easier.. lol not gonna lie) but yeah!! here is what we did
Run 1 mile
20 rounds of:
5 dumbell rows per arm @25lbs (which was way too light)
10 pushups
15 squats
then end off with
Run 1 mile
so yeah! it was a good workout! i feel much better now! LOL just need to get back into working out!

WHOOPS! vday! LOL
WHOOPS! i sort of forgot about Valentines Day in my blog!!! LOLOL
Like all day i kind of knew about it!! but i only remembered when I saw couples together and stuff or when ppl told me "happy valentines day"! LOL then i went up to a friend and was like, "next year, I'm gonna wear a shirt that says, 'Free hugs to single ladies!!'" LOL and she was like... "Jireh...if you were a girl, would u be attracted to urself?" lol and i was like. "oh.. no... LOL!.. maybe hand out flowers?" and she was like "yuep thats a good idea" and i'm like.. "actually.. no..that's too expensive! LOL" so after thinking we decided chocolates might be the best! LOL cos girls like them and they are cheaper! LOL
*SIGH* anyways! then later that night, i found that one of my friends gave roses to our single lady friends in ACF!! and WOOOWW .. impressed! :) haha I've always thought about doing something like that, but doing it... respect man! :D haha just wanted to say that! cos i think it was cool! :D
Anyways, i don't even know why i didn't think about V-day yesterday when i was blogging!! cos of my DG and stuff! haha so jokess!!
I used to always love Vday cos of the love in the air!! and i love that feeling!!! but..iunno.. i realized the christmas is just so much better! because the love there just seems so much more.. genuine and unconditional! HAHA iunno why!.. just the feeling you get when ur surrounded by people at that time!
Anyways, last night I had a dream about this girl...I don't remember what happened in the dream.. except for the fact that I friggin miss her!! *sigh* kind of makes me sad sometimes! oh well! HAHA don't ask me why i laughed cos its not that funny! lol haha oh well!
There are so many girls that I think are beautiful, that have great personalities..that are just great people in general.. but so few girls i could imagine living my life with...:/ it's weird *sigh*

BT: 100 hats
YES! to start off! this is one of my favourite Brain Teasers!! I've only heard this one from word-of-mouth lOL so yeah i'm just going to write down my way of it.. and yeah! I did not create any of these teasers!
You are imprisoned on an island with a warden who can at any point let you and everyone out at his/her will. There are 100 prisoners (and that number includes you) and 1 warden (and obviously other guards and stuff but that's useless.. i just don't want you guys to say.. 100 vs. 1.. we win! or something stupid like that! LOL). The warden makes an announcement and says the following: "Tomorrow, I will line you all up in a straight line facing one direction. Then I will place either a red or green hat on your heads. After everyone is given a hat, you are allowed to guess the colour of the hat on your head. If you guess right, you are free to leave. If you guess wrong, you will be shot on the spot."
Now, devise a plan that will give 99 of the prisoners a 100% chance of living and 1 prisoner, a 50% chance of living.
Note:
Though they are prisoners, they are smart and can see.
The prisoners can ONLY say "red" or "green" and nothing else...and in no special tone or anything
The plan should work so that one person will go after another every 15 seconds (so there is not hesitation or anything)
We don't know the ratio between red and green hats. Example: it could be 50R:50G, or 1R:99G etc...
The plan should work with any number of people. 100 was just used for fun...but it could be with 50 people, 123 people...etc.

Fay blah blah
Blue things are the seats. Yellow thing is a pole (LTC btw) and the person you can see is the main character talking to his other friend who is the black head (black haired cos he's asian)
OKAYYY! So, i walk on a bus, which is fairly crowded, but not super crowded and i see this asian dude LOL. and he's talking...or yelling.. i'm not sure... I just feel like anyone who speaks chinese get's progressively louder and louder!! LOLOL so its like... loud speaking on a pretty quiet bus! and all i hear is "FAY, FAY, FAY, FAY blah blah blah FAY!" etc! lol that kind of thing! and he just kept on repeating it! LOL and his friend would like say things in chinese and then he'd reply back and keep say the "fay" word!! LOL so weird!
Okay.. from my limited knowledge of chinese, I know that "fay"...means FAT! and this guy wasn't even fat!!! but then.. i think the funniest part about this dude was the fact that he was in such a CHILLLS position! literally taking up 3 seats! Am I content that I'm single still? lol
Sounds like a tough question eh? if you think about it.. i guess.. LOL but really it's not! Sure, I guess there are those people who find joy in being single and never want to get married...like Paul and stuff... but the thing is.. the vast majority of people I know (including myself) are NOT like Paul...we do not want to live our lives and die single. Sure, people say that God is enough! and yes.. indeed He truly is...but let's look back to the Old Testament (OT) and take a look at Creation!
So God creates the heavens and the earth.. and everything!! He creates the Garden of Eden and Adam. He puts Adam in the garden to "work it and take care of it" (Gen. 2:15b). Then God looks at His creation and sees that Adam NEEDS a helper! "The Lord God said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone. I wil make a helper suitable for him.'" (Gen. 2:18) and this happened BEFORE the fall.. so before sin entered the world. And then guess what? God gave Adam a woman, Eve!
Now look at this story and tell me that God wired us to be single...and that being happy and super content with being single all your life is biblical. Tell me that desiring a wife/husband is sinful!.. LOL you can't! hAHA jokes! cos It's not biblical to just be happy that you are single when God wired you to need a helper! and its def not sinful to desire a wife/husband! God looked at Adam BEFORE the fall and saw that it is NOT good for a man to be alone!
Anyways, I got most of these ideas from a Matt Chandler sermon I listened to! it was really good. and one thing he said is this, "I'm content with what Christ is doing in me today, but I don't want to be who I am today, I'm hoping Christ to complete what He began" and that is exactly how I feel about me being single and not married at the moment. Yes, I'm content...but I don't want to stay this way! I know God's plan for me is marriage one day and I stand here...surrendering my life to Him because I know His way is the best.
If you're single, it's okay to desire a wife/husband! I just hear this a lot.. and it sort of bothers me. "as soon as you're content, God will send you a man/woman" and it's not really like that! But I do agree though that when you truly desire God more than a man/woman, He will bless you! and honestly, this doesn't mean you have no desire for a man/woman... but yeah! i'm just complicating myself more atm! LOL so i'll stop! hope you guys get what I'm trying to say! :)

so distracted
I'm so distracted right now.. i'm so behind in terms of studying for my upcoming exams...but i honestly can't get myself to study! *sigh*...all i can think about is dumb stuff....that are really useless sometimes!
I don't know why.. but everything I see/think of just seem so much more interesting than studying for genetics/cell bio! *sigh*... sooo weird. . usually during this cram time, i can get myself into super serious mode...but for some reason i can't atm! :/

circadian rhythm again...plus random stuff
HONESTLY, I can't fix my sleeping habits!! they've been just getting more and more messed up!! haha so.. not too long ago, I woke up at 4pm...LOL then i was like.. ohh shoot! i must sleep early to fix this!! so then, i sleep at 10pm! LOL (yes, i was only awake for 6 hours that day) LOL so i'm like nice! in bed! sleep time! so i sleep! then i wake up... at 1am...the next day (so only 3 hrs of sleeping happened) and i was like.. SHOOOOOOOOTTT!! haha and yeah! as you can guess, there was no sleeping that day! I got up, my housemates were still up and we started talking! and my brain woke up and my body obviously wasn't tired! LOL soyeah.. didn't end up sleeping that day until lattteee then i woke up the next day at 9:45am..only have very little sleep.. went to church.. had free coffee! and heard a cool sermon about marriage!! :D (aka yesterday) haha and now.. i'm yeah messed up! cos after i got home from church i crashed and etc! LLOL then i stayed up last night watching "p.s. I love you" which was a really cute movie!!! :D haha
I think i lost all my tears! LOL because i did not cry! haha oh wells! it was sad and heart warming! actually I didn't think it was THAT sad... but it was sad! and i thought the guy was very thoughtful! :) *sigh* sometimes I don't like watchign too much romantic stuff!! LOL not cos i don't like it.. I LOVE THIS KIND OF STUFF!! lol but MAN! these people/guys in the movies are stealing awesome ideas that I wanted to do!!! or want to do... but now, can't cos someone else already did it.. LOL YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN?! lol I want my superly romantic ideas i do for my DG to be original.. lol not a copy cat from a random chick flick i watched! LOL *sigh* so yeah, if i do get any awesome ideas, i can't tell you! cos this is online.. and movie producers will steal it before i do it!! LOLOL JKJK but yeah honestly, so many ideas have been done already! it's pretty hard to think of new ones!!!....ORRR if i get an idea before I watch the movie and DO IT before i watch it.. i won't feel bad.. cos then i'll be like.. W/E! they copied me! ;) haha jkjk iunno! yeahh i know that there are SUPER BILLIONS of ppl in this world and every idea has probalby been done at least once.. but still! okay i don't know where i'm going with this anymore!! :D so yeah! see you soon!! and i really hope i sleep by 11:30-12 today! then i'll be happy! and waike up at 8am! oh man! that would be sooo GOODD!
OH YEAH today's weather was awesome!! reminded me of God's AWESOMENESS! :D i was feeling a lil down, but He lifted me back up! :)

100 pushups/day!
HAHA so i started this last week, but i stopped after a while! (only lasted 2-3 days LOL) but guess what?! i'm going back on BABY!!!
Was reading my bro's blog and dannngg!! he's doing it!! and started over a week ago!! must catch up!! and do this as well!! haha!
Jireh has been inspired! or is that inspiration or motivated? I HAVE BEEN MOTIVATED! and inspired? okay w/e don't care anymore! LOL
this is also one of my many goats...essentially, any bodyweight thing is a goat for me! except squats...so that = pushups, pullups, box jumps, double unders, burpees, situps, all that jazz... LOL so i shall work on it! one at a time!

So this morning, my alarm went off and I like.. immediately shut it off! haah and i was like.. God, if you want me to go to service, make my roommate come down and wake me up! LOL mainly cos i just really didn't feel like going. Even though we talked about it last night, we have history of "accidentally" not waking up on time and just missing the shuttlebus to church! Anyways, I went back..lying in my bed just chilling and relaxing...kind of feeling bad for skipping church! haha 15 mins before we are supposed to leave, my roommate comes down and is like JIREH! lets GO!!! haha and i'm like.. DANG! okay! AHHA so i got up, took a shower, ate food and bolted out! oh yeahhhh!! :D took me 20 mins but we still caught the shuttlebus! :) haha and today was literally my fave topic!! it was about marriage!! :D and the role of men and women! Essentially, wives, be submissive to your husbands in the Lord and husbands, love your wives as Christ loves the church! I can go on about it...but I wont! LOL if you have questions, ask me in the comments below and i'll give you an answer!! haha but yeah! passage was taken from Colossians 3:18,19 i believe! :) haha
The sermon was a really great reminder to me! It reminded me that I'm probably going to get married one day...and if i want to have a godly relationship with my wife, I need to be holy and pure! And keep myself sexually devoted to her (two eyeball principal and honouring my DG for now). I also need to become a man who seeks Christ...Someone who can someday lead a godly women in His word...someone who can love, encourage and cultivate her!
Dream girl, I can't wait until the day we get married! haah i think it'll be wonderful!! haha make sure I treat you right! or smack me in the head!!! :D HAHA I love you! ;) just saying! and I won't ever let you question it!
